Hi All,

I've been using MP for a while but unfortunately I can't make newer versions work. The latest version that works flawlessly with my card is MP 0.1.1.1. After that I tried to make it work but the TV doesn't work.

After sending information back and forth to Dman I was able to detect it and install the encoders, but I still think there's a PIN issue because I'm able to detect channels and listen to the audio but see no video (just the black box...).

I have all the graphedit information and screenshots. Can anyone help me figure out the right connections for my card? I'm attaching everything to this post.

Thanks a lot!

Working graph, now need help with the Capturecarddefinition file...

Hi guys,

I managed to get the working graph for my card and MP 0.1.1.1. Could anyone help me with the connections for this card to work with the newer versions? If you need any additional information please let me know.

Tks!

The only way that this MAY be possible is to force the instal of the WDM-NSP drivers from the 6.1 CATALYST package (not drivers just the WDM-NSP) and even if this is succesfull the support for the 'rage theatre' chipset is not complete for many AIW cards (only the 'theatre 200' is complete )

Unfortunatly there isn't an Official ATI/AMD driver for your card that is compatable with the required ATi MCE decoder filters that are used with the v0.2.x.x MP.

Should I repleace one or all?

I replaced the ATI WDM Rage Theater Video with the ATI WDM Rage Theater Video NSP. Should I replace any of the others (ATI WDM Specialized MVD Codec, ATI WDM Specialized PCD Codec, ATI WDM TV Audio Crossbar and/or ATI WDM TV Tuner)?

    Tks,

Replace them all is best, keeping the same release for the WDM driver package for all.

The problem you will probably find is that the rage theatre will not connect to the ATI MCE video filter when MP builds the graph (or graphedit for that matter)

However, I did a clean install, it recognizes the card, I hear audio but I see the black box. The error I get is the following... (we might be getting close...)

I installed the latest SVN build on top of 0.2.2.0 and replaced the Media Center Vide and Audio Encoders and the Multiplexer with the Intervideo ones. Then, when I open MP, go to TV I get the audio but no video. The error I get is:

    2007-02-09 14:46:29.234375 [ERROR][6]: SinkGraph:FAILED to connect Encoder->mpeg2 demuxer:80040217

    Any clues?

    Thanks again!

There is nothing you can do as this is a failing/bug in the rage theatre driver and the way it interacts with the ATI MCE encoder filters. AMD/ATI need to correct this as the 'rage theatre' chipset is still used in latest spec VIVO cards.

The latest AIW cards use the Theatre 200 chipset which doesn'thave a problem .

Do you know if there are any modified drivers out there to overcome this issue?

Thanks a lot for your insights and I hope I can make it work.

PS: why does it work perfectly with older versions of MP (such as 0.1.1.1)?
