The fan had died on it and I gave up on it, but I installed a new fan and gave it a try. I also switched the codec to one with "ATI" in the title, I think it is Cyberlink (ATI). I also chose BOB deinterlacing. This lowered my CPU usage from 90% - 100% to 40% - 50%. And, as expected, the picture is beautiful. I set it to record Letterman last night, and it looks pretty good.Paul</blockquote>
