Some people are having some extreme results whether it tuning channels with still video and no sound, or just no sound, here's what is constantly being reported, so please take appropriate action.

FFDShow users, get the latest version from here SourceForge.net: Files

Open at the codec screen, select MP1\MP2 and change from "libmad" to "libavcodec" save and exit.

AC3 Filter users, enable mpeg support under the system tag.

Now any channels with mpeg1 audio should work correctly.

The audio codecs that seem to be having the most problems are the above and the MPA\PowerDVD audio codecs, and no workarounds have yet to be found for anyone who uses the last 2, so not recommended to use with MP until there is.

Actually if I remmember correctly the MPA code doesnt even support MPEG1 mono audio, so at least it wont ever work on all situations.

One good audio codec seems to be Microsoft's Vista audio decoder. All people having audio issues with TVE3 should try it (of course it requires you to have Vista in use :)).
