Hopefully there's a way to do this. I'd like to use ffdshow for audio as well. I've got it all setup and it works in Windows Media Player exactly how I want it to, but I can't figure out how to get MediaPortal to use ffdshow instead of whatever it uses. Video has the option to pick filters/codecs which works great, just wish it was the same with Music.
I've tried setting ffdshow (in the audio options) to very high to try and "force" it, but that still didn't work.
Only reason I need to is because ffdshow can upmix stereo to 5.1, so that my NVIDIA SoundStorm (onboard) and output proper 5.1 to my receiver. NVIDIA's Dolby Digital Live doesn't seem capable of doing so by itself, I just get 4.1 with no center channel.
If there's another way of doing this, that works with MP, then I'm open to it.
