I have noticed a problem with audio recording badly. It seems to happen only on one station/channel. Is it possible that perhaps this network (Fox/USA) is using some sort of encryption/recording prevention scheme?

The details are: All shows I record for my wife exhibit a strange audio fade in/out. At first, I thought she was cursed, because this does NOT happen to any of my favorite shows. It was my wife that noticed that she mostly watches shows on Fox. So after some testing, I have confirmed that every show I try to record from this channel (13 - KCPQ - Seattle, WA, USA), such as "The Simpsons" and "American Idol" have had this problem.

So again, is it even possible that encryption could/would be used or is it something far less malignent? If anyone has experienced this type of behaviour and/or knows a work-around, please let me know... The wife is on my ass about this one, American Idol just isnt worth watching with crap audio! lol
