I have version 2.3.0. Everything works fine, except when playing certain AVI files, I only get 2 channels. I have the PC connected to my Sony receiver via Coax out from PC, Everything is running direct using AC3 Filter (No software decoding). the confusion is that I get 5.1 from Windows Media Player and Media Player Classic. Just Mediaportal is giving me only 2 channel audio. Thanks for your time and help in advance.

Make sure FFDshow or some other filter is NOT popping up and stealing the audio from AC3Filter. This is an issue of Merit for each filter. Also, be sure you have AC3Filter selected for the audio codec for MOVIES -- you're playing these video .avi files from MyVideos, aren't you?
