Audio Playback Problems (1 Viewer)

After taking the step to migrate from 0.2.x to 1.0, I experience some problems in configuration.

Major topic is currently in audio playback for music and radio.
Output: SDIF
Type: mp3/WMA (tested so far)
Problem:
No audio playback in MP (eiter Bass or internnal direct sound device)
Audio playback is working with MS Mediaplayer, Zoomplayer, WinAMP

Seems like it is not possible to observe the filter graph via graphedit.
Is there some other means to trace what MP is doing with the filters? (- od is there somebody who can give me a hint for solving the problem?)

Meanwhile it seems like the Bass Player and the default Direct Sound device are providing analog output only.

So far couldn't figure out how to route it to SPDIF.
Makes me wonder, as all other players (like Zoom Player, MS Media Player and the MP internal Video Player) are using filter chain configurations which enable routing via SPDIF.

Can somebody provide me with a hint finding a viable way to route the Bass Player to SPDIF?

Working Solution for Bass Player via SPDIF on Realtek AC97

To conclude on my own thread (if somebody even concern):

The problem seems to be caused by an unlucky combination of filter chains and sound card drivers spiced by some weird specific behaviour of Bass Player

As Bass Player seems to link directly with the soundcard, filter chains and re-routing are not feasible (why ever).
The actual VISTA Realtek driver did not provided seperate analog and digital Direct Show interfaces, but only one all purpose. Why ever, the Bass Player did not seem to use the digital path but only the analog path.
As the driver is also disabling the digital output while an analog cable is plugged you are stuck here.

The "Virtual Audio Cable" driver which is establishing a virtual soundcard and enabling re-routing the bass player to digital interface is a workable solution, but needs to be established every time manually.

Last resort was to uninstall the Realtek driver and reverting to the original Vista Sound-driver which is providing two distinct direct show interfaces for analog and digital (Disabling also all driver features for sound encoding and manipulation; e.g. only digital stero or AC3/DTS pass through and no processing of 2ch dolby signals via AC3-filter/ffdshow to 5.1 is possible anymore).
But now the Bass Player is willing to connect and working via SPDIF

My MP was working perfectly until one day I get an error message which I can't remember what it says, and then there is no music.

I think I have the same problem as you.

My MP running on Vista, with SPDIF and Realtek audio, and NO SOUND. My other windows apps all working properly with sound, but MP no sound.

I use the BASS player with Realtek audio.

I got my problem solved by uninstall the latest realtek driver.
Vister used after the next boot the available windows driver (seems to be a rather old version of the realtek)

Whith this driver BASS player managed to output via spdif.
Seems like realtek changed something in their new drivers.
