Audio Podcasts with OnlineVideos [not possible] (1 Viewer)

Hi Bombus any idea if iit s possible to add also audio podcast in this way?

I'm following a problem in another thread (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/mediaportal-plugins-47/plugin-download-play-podcasts-77467/) and i get some try but
not great success

1 add .mp3 to the video extentions in mp config
2 add the download folder to the config of the music plugin
3 download the mp3 using onlinevideos
4 and then play it with the music plugin
?

I get a try to it
With this setting u can download the audio podcast using the online video plugin.
So u will have in ur download directory for the onlinevideo plugin the mp3 files of the podcast.
But unfortunally any file with mp3 extension will be played now in the video plugin and this don't work, so it need to go back with
ur point 1, and in this way u can play the podcast files but u will be not more able do download them.
i was trying with the advance configuration setting in the online plugin site, but also if now i'm able to see the mp3 files i'm still not able to download these.
Anyway probably ur way can be a starting point for get it

Thanks for the followup on my question.

After looking at this method over the weekend, I experienced similar results. Able to parse the audio podcasts by adding mp3 to the video extensions in the config but trying to play an mp3 wanted to use the video player which generated a codec failure.

The Suggestion from bombus still doesnt work.

But i would love to have this feature (downloading and streaming audio files) implementet in online videos!

It would be a extension of the plugins usage....

OnlineVideos is not meant to allow audio playback. All code focuses on videos. I think it would be better to build a dedicated audio podcasts plugin for that purpose.
