I think I and others have brought this up from time to time.
I'm trying to get a baseline of the audio volume between MyTV and MyMusic. I'm using the built-in MPA and Bass players. I have to push the gain in the Bass player down to -16 to come close to the volume output of MyTV or Recorded TV. The Output Level on the Music config screen seems to have no effect that I can tell.
What does the BOOST control do on the MPA config screen, it didn't seem to do anything for my setup?
I'm using SPDF out to my surround system. I have to crank the vol up to 22 on my receiver for TV when 14 is a similar vol for Music when the Bass gain is set to 0.0.
My question... How can I set MyTV vol up to the level of MyMusic so I don't have to worry about the volume starting at too loud of a level when I shift from TV to Music? I'm afraid that the higher volume level on the receiver is more straining on the equip (and inefficient) when the source is set so low. It's much better to have a higher gain from the source.
Thanks
Regards,
Chuck
