Thanks. I'm getting some stuttering when playing back recorded programs or when playing videos with V35 though. There is no stuttering with V34. Also I'm still getting the audio for video playback coming through via HDMI at full volume and MP cannot control it.

Edit: Possibly a bit premature, I put V34 back in to check - no stuttering, then put V35 back in and the stuttering was gone. I can't explain that, so V35 may be OK (apart from the volume stuff).

    Hi :)
So the volume stuff is ok from start and didn't work after ?
So official 1.10 all is ok on volume stuff ?
    Thanks :)

Could you describe what you do step by step :) to try to reproduce it on my side :)
    Thanks :)

Just checked 1.10 final and the audio problem is in that too (at least on my system). To recreate simply play a .mpg video and try to mute or change the volume, the on-screen overlay comes on as normal but the volume stays on full.

Good to know that it's not related to this patch :)
Can you post log from 1.10 final ?

Also maybe you need to be on Master Volume :

I was under the impression Windows 7 applications couldn't control the master volume, but I'll give it a try.
Just tried it, selecting master volume breaks all audio. I've put it back to waves.

I've attached logs of 1.10 final, I first tried viewing a TV channel which was fine, then selected a video and tried using the volume up and down, and also the mute button. Interestingly mute caused a brief muting, but the audio came back on full volume. The volume up and down had no effect.

But somehow still throws 'filter' errors:
    Code:
    [2015-01-11 10:23:36,127] [Error ] [MPMain ] [ERROR] - Failed filter: not found
    [2015-01-11 10:23:36,139] [Error ] [MPMain ] [ERROR] - Failed filter: not found

Could you try it with LAV Decoders setup instead of the Microsoft ones?
Also check 'Enabled AudioDualMono mode switching' in MP Config > TV/Radio > TV (on the bottom).

I've already got LAV I think, I followed the recommended setup thread:

    audio_setup.PNG

Setting the 'Enabled AudioDualMono mode switching' in MP Config also makes no difference.

(I think this is getting a bit off topic for this thread, it may be worth me starting a new one?)

The above screenshot shows the LAV Filters setup for Video Codecs. You need to set those up on the TV Codecs page also ;)

You have the Microsoft codecs setup for Tv according to your logs:
    Code:
[2015-01-11 10:23:36,509] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - Check graph connections for: Enhanced Video Renderer
[2015-01-11 10:23:36,509] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - Check graph connections for: Default DirectSound Device
[2015-01-11 10:23:36,510] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - Check graph connections for: Microsoft DTV-DVD Audio Decoder
[2015-01-11 10:23:36,510] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - Check graph connections for: Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder
[2015-01-11 10:23:36,510] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - Check graph connections for: TsReader

The volume up and down had no effect.
Please post a screenshot of MP Config > General > Volume Settings.

Using MP 1.10 final when I play a video (.mpg) file the audio is sent via HDMI to my AVR at full volume, and the volume up/down or mute buttons in MP do not change it. The mute button will briefly mute the audio, but the up and down buttons have no effect (the volume overlay is displayed as normal).

I've moved this from its original thread where it was beginning to drift off the original topic:
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/mp1-4578-crashes-after-standby.128997/page-10

I have confirmed LAV decoders are selected in all tabs of the Codecs and Renderer, except the audio renderer parts which have 'MediaPortal - Audio Renderer' selected. Logs are attached, in this I first watched a TV stream where audio could be controlled then watched a video and tried to change the audio with the up, down and mute buttons.

It has been pointed out by HomeY that there are some Microsoft drivers being used and filter errors in the logs, and requested a screenshot of my General -> Volume Settings.

    Thanks for your help.
