+1 for MCE remote.
+1 for the Logitec.
I had Leadtek remote failing to wake my PC from sleep as well, no matter what I tried. Simillar problem not waking PC using some other cheap MCE immitattions found on eBay and elsewhere, so don't go this way as well.
The only remote free of any problems I found and use is the genuine MCE one. If you have more then one device to control (for example TV and AV receiver) go for Logitec, I can almost guarantee you will never look back. They are simply excellent.

P.S. Small addition to the Logitec remote. To have full functionality including waking up your PC after standby you still have to have MCE remote IR receiver plugged in to your PC USB port which maintains +5V power during sleep mode.
