Auto play CD/DVD with audio files (1 Viewer)

I believe there is no facility to switch on auto play for file formatted CD's or DVD's containing audio files. I have some MP3 CD's which I would like to auto play when inserted. Currently it always says "Audio CD Inserted - Do you want to open it?". I have the option to always auto play audio CD's but this is ignored unless it is a true audio CD.

If there is a way then let me know, otherwise please add this option. I don't want to have to turn on the TV just to start play.

ok, you've convinced me.
It's included in the RC3, which will be released by end next week.

When you have Autoplay Audio CD = Yes, it'll add all files of the CD/DVD to the playlist and starts playback with the first item.

I have one more question concerning this. Would it be possible to implement a shortcut for playing disk (Audio CD or DVD)

It would be very helpful because sometimes the CD is already insered when switching on. Then you have to open and close to play. If there would be a shortcut for playing CD you could implement that on your remote and just have to press one button. That would be much easier

Another idea would be to have a commanline parameter that would be /playcd. For example with a batch script: start C:\Program Files\Team Mediaportal\Mediaportal\MEdiaportal.exe /PlayCD

I am using the plugin Autostart, that checks the CD drive when MediaPortal starts, and then autoplays the CD/DVD...

The only issue is that if you insert an audio CD, usually asks which one from the CDDB database you want, and then you have to switch on the TV to select. Or you can press "OK" without switching on the TV!
