automatic refresh rate change hdmi panasonic viera radeon 5670 (1 Viewer)

Whenever I play a video the refresh rate of my 3d tv panasonic viera changes to 50Hz connected by hdmi 1.3 through a radeon 5670. XBMC works fine, cycling through 24Hz, 50Hz and 60Hz with each source (23.97fps, 25fps pal dvd and 29.97fps ntsc dvd). Zoom Player also works fine and does not change refresh rate, LAV smoothness enabled. Why does this happen with mediaportal2 10th anniversary edition 2.0.0.1404?
