I have the AverMedia A180 running a clean install of RC4 today. During my first AutoTune run the machine simply hung at channel 9. The second time I ran it, the machine just rebooted around channel 29 and the third time I ran it got through and completed with no issues.

The logs are not providing any useful information unfortunately. I have the source and could compile a version with more logging statements if I knew the code path and where we should be looking. Suggestions?

I can't duplicate this with my Fusdion 5 LIte or Vbox DTA 150, although I have seen this behavior in the past, periodically with 0.1.3 release and my A180 back when I had one.

Also, Opusnut in the main forum has reported a similar issue with the ATi HDWonder.

I can cause this behavior on multiple mediaportal machines with both the latest release and older releases. Both AMD and Pentium4 machines. same proble it scans to channel 6-ish and it crashes and reboots the whole pc.

I set up a machine with 0.2.2.0 and an A180. I had trouble with the channel scanning too. I don't recall if it hung up or crashed (or both).

After several unsuccessful tries, I checked the channel listings and found all of my local channels were there!

I have the same problem also, it pops up the error report thing. I think its something to do with XP, i think it'll work better on Vista or MCE. My computer crashes if i try to scan too many times too, it gets a blue screen of death, and the error is a stop error for the device driver so i guess its a driver problem
