Just a quick update that my card is now recognized by MP 1.1.0 RC1, scanned for channels fine, and seems to working perfectly. I haven't put my computer to sleep or hibernation yet, so I can't comment on that issue.

The new Duet card arrived from Aver three weeks ago. All good news so far. Both tuners haven't disappeared yet. Hopefully I don't jinx myself by posting this!

So tell us what's "new" on the A188 Duet card you went to the trouble of RMA'ing to the manufacturer? HOW can you identify it as different than what you'd returned - model number extension, revision number, manufacturing date, etc. How are you finding it is working with MP 1.1 ? Can you report on signal strength and signal quality as it compares to your other tuner? (You can easily detect this from inside TV-Server/Manual Control and engage a channel and a tuner, then Start Timeshift to show you the values.)

I ask as I found the signal strength of my ATi 650 Combo USB to be in the 40's as compared to my ATi HDTV-Wonder which is getting 85+ on strength, 90+ on Quality.

    Hey there Andrew H,

I photographed my old card before the RMA. The returned card had a different prefix on the model number.

Unfortunately I was too amped up to try the new card, so I didn't photograph it before installing.

However if you zoom in on the image (newegg.com) you can see the model number as "A188-B 0405A188-C99". I believe my first card was a 0403A instead of 0405A. But don't quote me, I don't have the card or picture on me right now.

Signal strength is good, just as solid as my ATI TVW650PCI, maybe better, 90+ on signal strength & quality mostly, except CBS which can vary, dipping into the mid 70s at worst.

I haven't tried 1.1, stability is key for me. I've messed with early releases for years but now that this rig serves all our electronic entertainment I have to hold back and keep it stable.

It has actually not appeared to my OS and Media Portal a couple times. But only if I open up the bios before XP comes up. Kind of funny, but that's the only common thread and issue I've run into so far. The card is much more stable than the previous version.

I recently bought an AverTVHD Duet. While the card (both tuners) is detected when I open the TV server configuration, I do not receive any channels. I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything (including the card) but was unable to find a solution. Has anyone ever encountered this before?

More details please... like, you did have a known working antenna connected; you did perform a channel scan; or are you doing ClearQAM on your cable? If you want help you have to walk us through your configuration and what you were doing. We know how it should respond but we're not there, so please tell us more. Also, attaching your logs would help - debug is a friend. What channels do you expect and why?
