Hi, I have instaled latest MediaPortal with the Storm CodecPack, and my problem is that ...

When I play an avi file with two audio streams I listen the two languages at the same time :p .... I've tried use filters in the menu "Movies Post processing" but nothing works .... aswell I've tried to install Morgan Audio Switcher Filter and I've selected it in the Post Processing Menu but didn't work, I think that the problem isn't in my system 'cose with the Storm Player (The Media Player Classic) I can watch the avi files with dual streams perfectly.

Are there any plug in to manage audio streams in avi files .... or any filter?, or anything that repair the problem, whatever :D ?

Hi, try the Haali Media Splitter - that should work.

And a small hint : Don´t use codec packs. Theyy do more bad than good. All you really need for MP is ffdshow (not the one from sourceforge which is 2 years old - there are newer ones here : http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/ffdshow.cfm)

mcbelly

WOW  ....... What a speed :D ....

Thank you, I'm gonna try it :p ....

Hi, before start the post I had read this threath already:

If you encounter problems with a RELEASE VERSION of MediaPortal, you can start a support thread in this forum.

If you have problems with a SVN TEST BUILD, please start a bugreport in the Quality Assurance Forums.

Before you start a new thread:

    1. Make sure that your system (windows, codecs and drivers) is up to date and that your system is matchin the requirements.
    2. Have a look at our wiki and read the manual + userguides. (maybe the solution is already there )
    3. Have a look at our bugtracker, maybe your problem is already know
    4. Search the forums for your problem, it's very likely that someone else already encountered the same problem.

How to start a support thread:

    1. Choose a meaningful title for your thread.
    2. At the moment you start a new thread in the support forums, the hardwarespecification template will be added automatically. If the template is empty, then you have not filled out your specifications in the usercp yet.
note: You MUST attach a complete hardwarespecification to your support thread!
    3. Add a detailed, step by step description of your problem.
    4. If your problem occurs inside MediaPortal or the configuration program, then ATTACH all *.log files located in MediaPortal\logs to your post.
    5. Do NOT copy/paste your logfiles (or large parts of them) in your post.

Please note that support threads, which are missing the required information posted above will not be processed and maybe also deleted.

1a. My system is updated with the latest drivers and match the requeriments.

2a. Before I did the post I read it, but unfortunately I didn't find nothing,

3a. Same problem that in the point 2a (maybe the solution is there but I can't find it, sorry)

4a. Same problem that in 2a and 3a ..... sorry if the solution is there ....

As well before do nothing I took a look to the FAQ but I didn't find nothing again, sorry xD.

1b. If the title is not enough descriptive please change it ....

2b. I thought "if Media Player Clasic can do it (Has a built in audio Switcher) the problem were in the plugins" .... I thought "maybe adding a plugin the problem will disappear" ..... anyway I've tried to put my Hardware configuration in my profile and I can't find where I can do that in my user's control panel ..... sorry again :p

    3b. I think I've done it. Just I think it :D.

4b. I didn't attach the log file 'cose I think that the problem isn't inside Media Portal .... I think that some plugin will solve the problem ..... (In the Windows Media Player I have the same trouble with the audio streams but Morgan Audio Switcher solve it) ....

    5b. At least .... I didn't do that :D.

    any suggestion :)
    yes
    read --> https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/showthread.php?t=13400

    where are the logfiles?

generally speaking: should you use codec packs -> NO

provide us with informations about filetype and which codecs are used by that video file
try to play the file with Windows MediaPlayer 10 or 11 (whatever you have installed). what happens then?

I uninstalled the Storm CodecPack and Installed the last FFdShow, and I tried the Haali Spliter (The 3 filters I found in the Postprocessing Menu ) like McBelly suggested to me, and the problem persist ..... :( , for that I said "Doesn't work, any suggestion?" ...

And now I'm gonna try it again, nothing works, any suggestion please :) ?.

PD: Then usually Media Portal Play without problems the avi files with two or more streams?

PD: Sorry for my English, is awful, I know about that  :p
