Back key on remote and escape key launches games (1 Viewer)

I have a gyroscopic media remote which I use to navigate MediaPortal. The back key on the remote normally takes you back one menu. For example, if I'm browsing videos, I can hit that key and it'll send me back one directory. It basically works like the escape key.

When I'm browsing my emulators, however, both the back button and the escape key launches the game instead of taking me back one level. For example, say I'm browsing my sega genesis library, and I want to go up one directory so I can select "SNES" and browse my SNES library. Pressing escape or back launches the game instead of taking me to my emulator list.

Anyone know of a way to fix this?

Basically MyEmulators executes a game on ANY remote/keyboard action.

My fix is in the post I've linked above.
