Example, yesterday I had the following in the EPG:

    22:00 to 23:00 Grey's Anathomy
    23:00 to 24:00 Grey's Anathomy
    24:00 to 1:00 Grey's Anathomy

I wanted to record only the first episode. I also have configured in the recordings to ignore pre/post time on back to back recordings. Media Portal recorded the first episode but it didn't add the pre-post time; it recorded only from 22:00 until 23:00, instead of 21:50 to 23:20 (I've set it to start recordings 10 minutes before and end 20 minutes later). If the show starts later than scheduled, which always happens, you always miss the end (in this case it missed the end causing my wife to get upset at me :( ). This recording was scheduled as Record always at this time. So either this schedule doesn't take in account pre/post time or it's the back to back recording setting that doesn't. Either way it's a bug, isn't it?

I have this problem also. Nothing of interest in the logs... just doesn't start the second recording until the first finishes :(

Found out yesterday, ... the hard way.

When you set 'ignore pre/post recording for back to back recordings' then the pre-recording for the first and the post-recording for the last recording in the back to back sequence are also ignored! :(

So I recorded a program directly before a movie and therefore the last 5 minutes of the movie where missing.

the "solution" for back-to-back recordings in MP 0.2.2.0 is far away from beeing perfect.

everyone who uses a dvb card should switch to the TV-Server.
Because the of the multitune feature the tv-server has, you will never ever again miss a single minute for back-to-back recordings on the same channel/transponder :)

The TV server is good but unfortunatly the same/similar bug exists with back to back recordings and pre/post times.

With the latest svn of last night a back to back recording of ALIAS with pre/post 2min/2min and still the second ALIAS didn't start recoring until the first had finished, there should have been a 4 minute overlap and not the thirty five second gap between each file.

I can confirm what VdR has seen. If you enable the "Ignore pre/post recording for back to back recordings", then it completely ignores them even for the first and last recording, or even if you have a free tuner so the second tuner could start recording before the first one is done.
