Ive now after some experimenting found a MP setup that me ( and my girlfriend ) are happy with.
I still have some issues with my setup though - but how do I backup my functional & girlfriend(ly) MP setup so I can experiment without the fear of fucking everything up???
Im primarily using MP to record TV and watch movies - so the tv channel / EPG / Recorded TV setup is important for me to keep somehow.
Im keen to try installing the TV-engine / TV-server. As far as Ive understood TV-server is for distributing TV over my lan but does it also offer better recording / tv guide etc capabilities??
Not the least im about to be hooked up on some fiberbased TV with capability to see HD tv - does MP standard install support this or do I have to install TV-server to record HDtv??

TVGG v2b3 EPG grabber
Athlon XP6000+
2gb ram
Hauppage pvr500mce
