Backup / Restore Media Portal (1 Viewer)

I know this has sort of been covered HERE and HERE but it seems quite a task to backup the TV server settings...

I understand that we are using an sql database but i'd like to have a nice batch file that can copy all the settings for Media Portal TV Server to my server so that in the event I have to restore, I don't have to setup everything again.

I have quite an extensively growing HTPC system that comprises of a number of different programs including Media Portal, Meedio, Zoom Player, Winamp etc... To backup these other applicatiions I just have to copy the files in the program files folder and in the application data folder. A simple re-install of the programs and then copy the saved files back over the installed program restores everything for me and some simple batch files automate the process nicely.

Is there any way to easily do this for the TV server or do I have program up that script in one of the threads I have mentioned? It's not a pain as I only have a very small amount of configuration in MP and I do make OS backups with acronis, but I would like to be able to make small incremental backups when it suits me (bundle it in my batch file).

If you have a gigabyte motherboard there is a utility for imaging the entire hard drive. I've done this myself, once I get a stable system I just back up the whole thing.

It installs itself so that you don't need a CD to restore the PC, you just hit a key during bootup which takes you into the software, from there you can either refresh the backup image or restore.

Another alternative would be to use something like Ghost. I know it's slightly overkill for what you want, but it would do the job.

Thanks, but I already use acronis for this and have already mentioned that I create OS backups. The issue is that I cannot just create a backup of my system every time I make a small change. Incremental backups of the software are needed for future deployment to other HTPC systems in my house.
