Backwards Compatibility with TV Server (1 Viewer)

I have TV Server running perfectly on 1.0 Final and would probably like to leave it there for some time. Will we be able to move up MP client and/or TV server plugin to newer versions as they come out and keep the server on 1.0 Final? Because in the past it was always recommended you kept the two in sync. But I'm thinking going forward the client should be backwards compatible with the server. Just thinking ahead here. Thanks for any input.

Unlikely, the 2 are by design meant to bounce of each other, so any updates on one are recognised by the other, we have had users who just updated one and not the other and had stability problems + other errors showing up during use.

This will also be recognised in future releases to stop this mismatch, so above problems should not occur.
