I´ve got one floppydtv and one firedtv... In tests people says that the quality of the picture is near or even better than a "regular" DVB-T set-top-box...


I really don´t think so... When watching tv on a 42" plasma... i can really see the difference...


One other problem is that the picture doesn´t float really as it should, in slow movements i can see the picture stuttering... I´ve tried some different codecs, but regulary use the nvidia purevideo...



Anyone got a clue about this problem?

I_m having the same Problem and I'm using almost the same configuration,
same Mainboard, same CPU, same graphics card, and same TV card.
What codec do you use?

i use nvidia purevideo... i´ve seen a really big difference in picture-quality if the signal-quality is low... i installed a HTPC with a firedtv for a friend... The picuture was bad... I installed a tv-ampfiler and the picture got much better =)

Maybe your TV/Monitor setup, what is the refresh rate set to in windows?
TV broadcasts in PAL are 50Hz refresh. If you have the PC:s gfxcard refresh at 60Hz you will get a 10Hz interference and that will be the microstutter you see.
