Hi my new HTPC is recording automatically but there are often some Problems in Quality. Its like when you dont have a Signal on Satelite TV. Its like 5% of the recording. I tried to change Codecs and turned off the Virusscanner but it didnt change.

I have 3 Options left to try but after that i am out of ideas.

Will the thing help that it recordes on Ram?
Or maybe interferance from telephone?
or shall i try this after recording thing ?

    Hi Pavel,

Looking at your specifications, your PC should be fine for recordings which make me think it's an interference problem. It maybe worth running MP in window mode, opening the Task manager and see what happening. Maybe it's trying to do too many recordings or something else is stressing it?
FYI. Codecs can be very painful so it's worth creating a "System Restore Point" before playing with codecs, so if things are worse or no better, you can roll back your PC with System Restore. Otherwise you can just make things worse by adding bad codecs on top of bad codecs...
Note: I avoid changing/adding codecs where possible.

    Good luck.

Do your PC play live TV OK?

    Cheers,

As with all support threads, post some logs. Start MP in Debug mode, schedule some recordings and if they exibit your problems, attach the logs. Can you see signal issues when just watching TV or does this occur only when recording (strange as watching is exactly the same as recording, MP always timeshifts).

I now watched for 10 minutes and no errors in live tv. But i will try more today and tomorrow.

How do i start MP in debug Mode?
I have exported my logs: www.x1x.at/image/MediaPortalLogs_25_05_11__18_00.zip My Recording always starts at 12 and ends at 14.

I will try let him record tomorrow in windowed mode and see what happens.

And i have only installed 1 codec and thats the ffdshow nothing more.
