I have just started experimenting with the broadcast EPG (up till now I have been using XMLTV).

I cleared out the database and (I'm using TV Server v3), set the grabber running. The programme guide that is created only goes one or two programmes into the future for BBC and ITV. Is this correct? How long does it take to populate the guide - I had it running for about 12 hours?

Edit to say I'm using DVB-S stream

Hi Barbarossa

I believe at the moment the EPG on DVB-S Free To Air satellite in the UK is only broadcast on a now and next programme basis. The more comprehensive DVB-S EPG is broadcast in encrypted form by BSkyB.

This may change should the proposed Freesat eventually launch in spring 2008. This will be a Free To Air satellite service promoted by the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 in much the same way that digital terrestrial TV is promoted under the Freeview banner.
