I'm having extreme difficulty getting bbc hd through dvb-s to display correctly.

The channel is tuned in correctly and i get the sound but no picture, i know i need a h.264 codec and i have tried coreavc, powerdvd7 & ffdshow codecs but no joy always a black screen. Has anyone else been through this trauma and come out smiling?

I have also used the radlight filter manager to upgrade the merit of some codecs but it still will not display a picture..

Any tips would be really appreciated.

Try to make a graph using GrapgEdit.. then you can see exactly what codec MP is using when playing BBC HD.
Probably the wrong codec is used for video, then you can ajust the Merits of the codecs used with Gspot

Example: MP uses 'X codec' for video, it should be CoreAV:
Lower the merit for 'X codec' to where it is lower then the CoreAV merit.
Do this in Gspot under System codecs.. then rightclick on the codec that you want to change.

And did you install Haali Media splitter?

You system spec seem to indicate you are not using TVServer, is that correct?

I belive is required to be able to view h.264 channels.

    I use MP 0.2.3.0 RC1 + SVn and TV3+SVN

It all works fine on my system, the H.264 codec is Cyberlink (latest), Nvidia PureVideo for Mpeg & audio.
