:sorry: I would like to appologize totally. I had not intent to come across that way. I was trying to wrap my head around why this is a difficult thing to do in TVServer given my experience with BTV and Sage. I did believe you! Proof is that I am having difficulties with my setup in TVServer. The debater in me was advocating that there might have been a better way. I won't say I understand TVServer but as you said so I need to get with the program Although I have done this, I did not appreciate the implication. :sorry: I will try that later this weekend. On the "Combination tab" in TVServer, am I correct that when you select 2 or more channels you basicly "combines" the tuning details? Resulting in one channel with mutiple tuning details. Similar to the HDHomeRun channels where you recommended I add the tuning details for the HD-PVR manually? Just to clarify at this point I have done no combining as I did not understand exactly what that fuction was doing. Right now in my guide, I have multiple channels that have the same guide information. For instance, 7 and 7 WSAW. 7 is the channel tunable by the Adaptec and 7 WSAW is tunable by the HD-PVR. I assume that if I combine them, I end up with one channel in the guide, either 7 or 7 WSAW, that can go to either tuner based on priority (order of the tuning details?). I need to confirm that both channels got guide information. Things have been is such a state of flux that I might not be remembering correctly. :thx: I hope you have a greate weekend More Information ------------------------- I am absolutely wrong. Whereas i thought that SD had not created the channels in the HDPVR lineup that are available to the HDHomeRun, it also did not create the channels for the HDPVR for the channels that are available to the Adaptec tuner. I don't know how I missed that but I did. If I had noticed that earlier, I might not have caused you to have this long discussion. I am going to review your earlier instructions on the procedures to use to get the channels in correctly. So in my configuration, I guess I am resigned to having to manually create tuning details forthe HD-PVR for channels at exist in either the Adaptec tuner or the HDHomeRun. Even More Info ----------------------------- Although I haven't completed adding the tuning details to all of the channels that I need to, I beleive I basically have my channels setup configured and based on the tests I made in the Manual control tab, I believe the channels where I have multiple tuning details work for either tuner. Now will that work in MP? When a channel has multiple tuning details which tuner is used to tune in a channel when MP request a channel? Based on the tuner priority? A small comment. In the dialog where you enter the tuning details, it would be nice to have the tab navigate through all of the fields one after the other. Right now it only works inside each of the groups. When you are doing severl channels, having it tab that way would be more convienent.
