best codec pack for mediaPortal (1 Viewer)

what is the best codec pack for mediaPortal via vista, i'm using shark 007 but having problems getting sound except for
any movies that are ac3 (no sound at start up (click) or playing any movies that don't have ac3.
i'm using digital out from my computer to my amp (SPDIF).is there a best way to set up mediaPortal to have every
movie (sound) work

Hi

A lot of our devs would advise to stay away from codec packs.
We do however have a lot of good feedback on SAF.

+1 use SAF (unlocked version), you need to send a PM to hoborg to ask him how to unlock SAF.

For Win 7 i found this tool useful -> Codec Guide: Windows 7 Preferred DirectShow Filter Tweak Tool
And with my brothers Win7 computer, changing all the audio codecs over to ffdshow helped with his audio problems

However i think SAF will do everything for you, you should uninstall all codec packs/filters before installing SAF.
