Best hardware for HD TV? (1 Viewer)

Hi,
I see a lot of info of different types of setups on this site. I'm looking for the best possible setup to view, record, and timeshift HD tv on a 720p plasma. I want this to be a flawless setup, no skipping or jumping. I've already determined that I need at least a dual core setup, but what about my graphics card? What kind of tuner is the best to use? Is the best way to send the video to my TV by DVI to HDMI? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

HI,
Look at my system configuration, everything works fine.
As a graphic card you can take also ATI 4550 passive (newer 55 nm technology) and as CPU (Intel Pentium Dual-Core E2200, 2x 2.20GHz or Intel Celeron E1200, 2x 1.60GHz there are low cost cpu's or Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200, 2x 2.50GHz this CPU has been made in the 45nm technology, it's a new modell).
IF you want to use some plug-in which need power eg. Media Slyer take the E5200 CPU.
I hope it's help.

I'd also consider giving your Country and where you are going to get these HD transmissions from, ie satellite or DVB terestrial, maybe even Blu-Ray, then you can get more specific answers to your questions :)

    Hi,
If you want to watch Blu-ray on your MP1 PC you need graphic card with HDCP eg. ATI 4550, it's newest generation low-cost card but it has enouth power also for Full HD. For Blu-ray you need TV with 24p support because Blu-ray films has 24 frames/sek (DVD has normally 25 frames/sek) and it's also the problem.
If you have eg. screen refresh rate 50 or 60Hz it's not possible to display Blu-ray film perfectly. You can reed more about it here.
