Steffen, Thanks a lot for clarifying this for me. Over the last day or so, I decided to go back to "square one" and work forward again. So I removed everything but the basics. .NET 1.1 and 2.0, MP, and windows patches. I removed MP, cleaned it out, and reinstalled 0.2 stable. Then the 0.2.0.4 patch. I installed the latest downloaded drivers from Nvidia, and reinstalled the latest drivers for my tuner card (averTV pvr-150). Fired it up, and even at the default MP settings it was better. It seems almost all, if not all of my problems are solved - even using the default MPV codec. Now the card will capture at the correct resolution (whatever I set it to under MP). Now deinterlacing is working properly Now the herky jerkies are 99% gone, and the last 1% I attribute to CPU, as it only happens when the CPU pegs at 100%. So, now I have to try to figure out how to optomize CPU. It does seem "strange" to me that CPU load on this box is low when playing an MPEG file in say MPClassic. But it is much higher in MP. So, I set the box to record 3 shows last night, and it appears to have recorded them all fine. But this AM it was at a "MP has preformed an illegal operation" screen, - i.e. MP crashed. So back to the drawing board... Once I get this straightened out, I intend to try the purevideo codec again. For now I have the MPV codec set up as you described for PV, and it looks 99% good to me :-) Thanks again! Jeff
