Best remote for Mediaportal? (1 Viewer)

I've been using mediaportal for some time now, and I'm looking for a remote that is easy to setup, and easy to use and have most of the features needed such as:

- Navigation (As in arrows, esc, enter etc)
- One button navigation between the various mediums. (MyTV, MyMusic, MyFilms etc)
- Teletext button, and working numpad
- Pause/play/forward etc.

Are there any remotes that has these functions out of the box, or with very little work?

The most supported without any issues as far as I'm aware is the official Microsoft MCE remote.

Works like a champ right out of the box, you just have to select it in the config first.

And it is a very good remote too. Very well built and comfortable to use. The reciever has a great long cable too.

Thanks, is it possible to make the green button open MP instead of MCE/VMC? And is there a way to close programs with the remote? (as in alt+F4). It would be nice so that I could use Internet Explorer to watch online-TV without a keyboard aswell.

does the MCe remote have a problem with the number key? because when i press channel number 23 it goes to like 24 or 26?

MPTrayMOD in the repository (search) will take advantage of the green button.

There is a option in MP\TV config "select channel number by index" see if that makes a difference.

All the buttons are pre mapped, trying to think of anything i cannot do, nope cannot think of anything

And don't scrimp by getting one that is "compatible". I did, and it isn't. Was a nasty cheaply made thing as well.

MCE Remote was a great investment. Works well with MP and has a nice loooooong USB cable, not to mention that the range is really long and wide. Had another remote that I bought new and just tossed in the trash. range was like 2 feet, also said it was MCE compatible.
