Hello,
after several problems with my htpc and the drivers i had to set in up again.

Therefor i'm looking for the best working solution to get everything to work.

My setup:
Case: Silverstone LC16M
Remote: Logitech Harmony 525
Software: MediaPortal 0.2.3.0

The problem now is setting up everything for a good working system includig mediaportal informations on the vdf and a working remotecontroll.

The best solution in my opionin is:
1. Install Imon SW and select MCE Remotecontroll
2. Tell the Harmony to replace the MCE Remotecontroll
3. Tell MediaPortal that I use a MCE Remotecontroll
4. Try to get the Updated iMON (Soundgraph) LCD Driver to work [last time i had problems and the whole driver crashed]

The Problem is that i don't have the MCE Remotecontroll (i have the imon pad) and i can't teach any keys to the Harmony but i think there are some builts on the harmony homepage.

Do you also think this is the smartest way or are there better ideas? Is there a way to get completely rid of the whole imon software?
thanks in advance

    Hallo Keule,

to get rid of the imon Software is not a good idea, I think. You don't have to use the MCE remote control bypass.

I have build up 3 systems close to yours. (mine, my brother and my father). We are alle using the harmony 555 remote control. One system had the Imon mm(?) the other two the Imon Pad as original remote controls.

Almost every key, which i got on the original remote control, is used to control the media portal. Some special buttons are also redirected to the LCD-display buttons of the harmony.

Everything I could think of, is now controlable with the harmony.

To achieve a good result I used the following programs (-parts)
Media Portal Configuration: General->Keys and Sounds
here I reassigned all standard keys to special keys, so that I can use my keyboard for the search tool in mediaportal.

Media Portal Plugin: Keyboard Input Plugin: I use this nice plugin for special functions, such as jumping right to a music screen, or to open the TV-Program screen.

iMon: Complete reassignment of allmost all of the iPad keys to the with the two program parts above assigned functions.

harmony: The harmony setup program for example knows the soundgraph iMon Pad control. So you don't have to teach any button at all.

Here you can find the result on my harmony.

I am not at home, but if you are interested, I can post my setup files.

By the way, where ist the standard key setup of media portal stored?

    Tschüss

    Hi PVRJunky,
i just had a look at your harmony settings and they look very good.
i think it makes sense to use the imon pad as the reference remote controll as it has a lot more keys.

is see that this will mean a lot of work in mediaportal/imon and harmony but as a result it will completely satisfy my requirements.

last step will than be to get the iMON LCD/VFD integrated driver to work properly.

i would be very pleased if you could post your imon and mediaportal settings here, but if this is not possible i think i can manage to reconfigurate the keys one by one by my own.

thanks in advance and have a nice weekend
