Iam using a 6600Gt and a Mobile barton at 2ghz.With the 6600gt iam getting hardware Acceleration on the MPEG2 files that support it and low cpu usage as well.Problem is when i use Purvevideo with MP it dont like it much. I get some weird shit happening. Stuff that make sme have to reboot the pc just so i can use MP at all.Anyways i chnaged to dscaler for all my 720p and 1080i and Xvid/Divx movie/video playing. And it seems to be stable now. Though iam not sure how Dscaler stacks up with Purevideo in High Definition quality playback wise. It seems to look as good as the purvideo playback ??Iam using a HTPC which is conecte to my HD tv via component. Actually its my ALL in one PC.
