Hey guys I have my htpc almost setup and need to figure out the best way to use powerscheduler..am I to enable standby mode for windows in power options? I currently have it set to standby in 10 mins but how long should I enable it in power scheduler? what options are you guys using? ideally I want MP to standby when idle and wake up for a recording.

Hi Darklord,

I just saw your message. I use powerscheduler just as you describe. I've got it set to shutdown after 3 minutes. Note that this is completely seperate from Windows standby setting in Control Panel -> Power Options. I have that set to never shutdown.

Remember that in order for powerscheduler to kick in, you must be sitting on the MP home page. Any other page will deactivate powerscheduler.
