Every time I upgrade to a new version of Mediaportal/TV server, I always seem to forget how to configure the client and server Powerschedulers to work properly. It always takes me a couple of missed recordings to get right. I also notice in the forums a few posts about MP not shutting down or starting up as expected.
In the setup process, would it be possible to automatically setup the power schedulers instead of having them disabled by default? It may save you guys a bit of time responding to similar queries all the time (err, and save me an earbending by the gf because I got it wrong again and her program didn't record).
The setup process already knows about whether TV will be used, if TV server is being setup or not, maybe a couple of other questions could be added such as 'automatically turn off/on for schedules recordings'. There will have to be some defaults, but the user can then adjust these if needed.
