Better/Smarter EPG Importing (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I have a sugesstion regarding the way the EPG imports into Mediaportal, from what I can tell MP doesn't check over guide data when importing it simply 'fills the blanks' for example - I use XMLTV & WebEPG to grab guide data, its set to pull data for the next 12 days so I can see whats coming up and schedule recordings.
However, a few channels have gaps in the guide where films etc have not been decided yet, this is fine when looking into the next 12 days as its only the odd few but if we roll on 12 days into the future (11 new WebEPG imports) the guide data still shows no info on some programs.
Now it would seem MP ignores any changes to existing guide data in its database and takes those next 12 days from the first import as gospel, only using the next imports to add the extra day onto the end.

Would it be possible to get MP to check items already grabbed so that when a WebEPG import containing the film titles etc.. (i guess around 5 days after the inital grab) it can update the guide to reflect full program listings?

I really like the idea of that too.
To try and discourage people from using EPGs and the like, our networks often put fake data in the guides which is only updated closer to the day of screening.

The way things are now, this intentional error isn't detected and fixed by MP and whatever programs are on get missed.
