big adding files issues (1 Viewer)

So I'm giving up on my Boxee but surprised at the un-intuitive options I have on the PC. On reddit I said the same thing about XBMC and got mostly nonconstructive posts so I hope you guys are more helpful =).

So adding files and getting thumbnails etc. quickly seems to be bit of a hassle, I have installed Moving Pictures which I like because it gives me total control.

But now I want to add my Anime and other shows which moving pictures does not do.

SO cutting to the chase, how do I quickly/easily add TV shows and anime if I want total control like with moving pictures?
I installed My Anime 3 but it seems like such a hassle to making it work.
