This is an area that seems to have been touched on a few times but I've not been able to find a solution.

I have an IP camera (Foscam FI8910W) which, being a highly neurotic parent, is aimed at our Bubs cot. It does the job and currently we have an old Lappy sat next to the TV - if she squeaks we only need to glance over to see if she a OK or maybe needs a tuckin.

Well, I had the bright idea of having a TV channel 'Cotcam' which could be used easily by anyone using a MP client. But, maybe it is not that straightforward and/or my current limited understanding of IPTV needs improving.

In VLC I can get a video stream (MJPEG) with http://myUser:MyPassword@cotcam.local/videostream.asf

    In MP (TuningParameters/dvbip), I created a m3u file:-
    #EXTM3U
    #EXTINF:0,Cotcam
    http://myUser:MyPassword@cotcam.local/videostream.asf

And enabled a DvbIP card using the created Service Mym3u.m3u

However, when I Scan for channels I get a 'Cotcam:No Signal' error and no new tv channels.

I have dug around to try and see whatsup but I wonder if I'm missing something basic....?

Thanks mm - was being a bit lazy there; I just skipped to the end of that thread and picked on the m3u file thing.

Yeah; it will need a real-time transcoding MJPEG stream -> MPEG 2 stream. That VODServer looks interesting as does vlan. If I crack it i'll feedback (might just cop out get a new camera lol)
