Black MCE Remote (1 Viewer)

Does anyone else have this remote?

I bought it - and it works great as a MCE remote - but I cannot get it to work with the plugin. Specifically, the IR learning functions do not work, and if I install the replacement driver the remote does not work at all anymore.

It shows up as "eHome Infrared Receiver" in device manager - if that helps anyone.

It's only Vista compatible, what OS are you using, Vista or XP?

Also, could you try it with the new test version of IR Server Suite?

I am running Vista - and I downloaded installed IR Server Suite. Good news and bad.

It does detect the remote - and it can even learn commands and blast them and it works!

Problem is that once I close the configuration program the IR Server blows up and completely dies.

Obviously at that point nothing works. Are there logs somewhere I can review?

Yes there are logs accessible from a shortcut on the start menu.

If you can take a look and let me know what you find or post them here then I can try to sort it out.
