Black Screen with DVD Playback in Moving Pictures (1 Viewer)

Hi there,

I have set up Media Portal so that it plays back DVDs OK from the normal Video menu, but if I play back from Moving Pictures (which is a brilliant plugin by the way) it shows a black screen.

Any ideas?

I am getting this as well, audio is playing but just a black screen.

This only seems to happen with ISO's playing my avi files everything works fine.

I should have reported back on this. It turns out that I didn't have my codecs up correctly.

From memory (I am not with my PC at the moment), I set up a video post process by going through each one and finding a post process which had a "DVD Decoder" tick box (I can't remember which one it was, sorry).

This fixed the problem instantly.

Sadly at the moment, I can't get it set up to play some .avi files, but I will work on that next week (unless anyone has any quick tips).

Thanks, for the reply I've done some switching of the codecs in media portal config and seem to get the best results with Cyberlink and ffdshow audio. The problem ISO's seem to be playing Ok now....fingers crossed. Just takes some experimenting to get the right combo I think.
