blaster ports missing (1 Viewer)

hi all im new here and im having trouble setting this up with my sky stb
weather i set it up as an application or as a service
what happens is i tech it the sky remote channel change commands this works perfectaly in application or service mode
until i restart the computer it then stops working if i try to teach it new ir commands it fails and the option to choose which blaster port is nonselectble the only way i have fond to get over this problem is to uninstall and reinstall irss which then works fine untill i reboot the computer which is really frustrating

im running win xp mce using the latest 1.42 version if tried with both versions

hi all update after several days of messing around with this the only way i have maneged to get this to work is to make sure that none of the media centre servaces are stopped when the computer restarts that is when the remote stops working and i cant get the blaster ports to reapear unless i uninstall and reinstall the application any help would be appreaeated

I had a similar issue. Your posts are a bit confusing, and seem to lack further explanation, which is why I am sure no one else has responded.

Have you checked the "services" window to make you have have not forced any MC services to disabled? I was having the same issue as you, with "none" listed for blaster ports. I checked, and I had manually disabled anything and everything related to VMC. I enabled them again, and checked the disable MC services in the IRSS setup, and now all is well.
