blasting with tv-server (1 Viewer)

I'm a long time user of mediportal (tv2) and mce replacement plugin with great success. I thought it was time to try tv-server + ir suite. I have set things up, and blaster tests work fine, but channel does not change in mp. In tv2, you would set channel to be external for stb, how do you do this with tv-server?
