Last year I downloaded Media Portal and I remember getting it up and running with no problems. Since then, I've upgraded to a ASCH? HDTV tuner card (geniatech), and when I was trying to get the TV channels working for football season (only time I watch TV), I kept getting blocked ports and I couldn't find any answers on the Internet I could understand, so I uninstalled everything and reinstalled Media Portal, and now I can't get past the configuration program. I'm reading the online manual, following directions the best I can, and I just can't figure out what to do next.
When I run Media Portal there is nothing available under TV at all, so I'm thinking I still have quite a bit of configuring to do and I haven't got a clue.
I'm disabled and all the technical reading and mousing is wearing me out. Is there any chance someone that knows this stuff really well would be so kind as to e-mail me and set up a time after 2 p.m. to call me and try and talk me through getting it working before the Steelers play tomorrow night at 8 p.m.
