Ian, sorry to just get back with ya, you only need to add the HD Starter.dll and HD_Starter.exe in the MediaPortal plugins\Windows directory and also the ddlfix file, then execute the dllfix file, the .ahk is just a source file and actual might cause problem if it is in the plugins folders, so remove that file. Make sure that you are substituting the file that I provided for the one in the original post. After this is done I don't see you should have a problem continue with the remaining steps from in the original post. If you still are having trouble you may message the author of this plugin as well, but i don't think you should have any problems as it worked perfect for me, just needed to recompile the file with the correct path, also I have used this with PDVD8 and 9, both worked great. Currently still using with 9. On a side note If you have "User Account Control" turned on in Vista, you might consider disabling it, if not permanently at least when you install programs and run various files. This can be done from within the User Accounts area of the control panel under your user account, then you could disable the alert from withing security center if it was to be permanent. If you are using your computer as a daily desktop and frequent web browsing you may leave it enabled for the added security.
