Blu-ray Playback - How do you do it? (1 Viewer)

I bought a Blu-ray drive for my HTPC. How do I make MP work with this? Shouldn't there a "Play Disc" item in the menu? The only thing I can do is go into the "Videos" section and see the drive there in "Shares". It just shows a lot of unusual folders and nothing opens.

Some tips here, please?

Hi,

two options:
1) Wait for MP 1.3 which will have native BR support
2) Meanwhile install https://www.team-mediaportal.com/extensions/movies-videos/bluray-handler-0-9-7?lang=en
Can easily be done with MP Extension Installer! Just open it, and look for BDHandler

Okay, using solution 2, I can wade through a bunch of folders on the BD and play files, but I've no idea what I'm playing when I pick one., very difficult whenever it's a TV series with multiple episodes. Is this the best it gets so far? Nothing to actually launch and use the BD menu?

I'm using here Arcsoft Total Media Theater 5 to play my BD. It is integrated in MP via the Arcsoft plugin: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/blu-ray-hd-dvd-plugin-for-arcsoft-player.49357/
In my opinion this works very good and has the advantage that you have the menus and you can play any disk.
