How do you think this will work? As soon as you enter the Group Menu the focus is on the menu and no longer on the media item. So no media item is selected at all. And you need to have a way to navigate to the Group Menu without using the normal "cursor up" as with this the selection goes up too.

I 'm not sure if I get your point. Maybe my reply to Morpheus makes it clearer. MI selected = User clicks ok on a MI in for example gridview of movies. Currently the MI is directly playing, now the CP screen would come instead. In the CP screen pressing "play" starts the MI then. This should work.
When accessing the CP screen from GroupMenu (only possible, when a MI is playing) the player control is showing up in footer and the media information of the playing movie is shown in middle area.

Ok now I got you. But this I really don't like. If I press OK or play on the selected item it simply should play, nothing else. After 100++ episodes of "Castle" I really didn't need to get infos about "Kate Beckett" and "Richard Castle" any longer. I simply want to watch the episode.

There was an similar (configurable) option in MP1(or Moving Pictures, did not remember exactly) but this wasn't used by many people. For informations there is the "info" button on the remote so why not use it as it was meant to be used?
That's how I see this working nicely: You select an item in grid (or list, did not matter) and press info. Then you see this new screen from where you can play the item or go back to where you were before. And here you can do all the other stuff now is available when pressing info. Also most of them are no "information" but actions...

Possible it is for sure Actually I tagged you, because I was sure to get some feedback. I also do not read the media information in 99% of the cases, so your idea makes also sense to me.

• MI are played directly when selected (e.g. in grid view)
• When pressing INFO button the CP screen is showing up with mediainformation. Pressing PLAY here starts the movie
  
• Alternatively user can always reach the CP screen by selecting "play" icon in GroupMenu when a MI is playing

It's not good to copy the whole skin definition of original plugin into BlueVision. Please only add files which are different to the skin you are based on (here "Default"). This means the full commit should be reverted and you should only create few xaml files with differences in style. If images are same as default, also omit all those files.

Oh. I copied the default folder for convenience and forgot to eliminate the not modified files. I'll correct it with next commit.

The OnlineVideosWorkflowModel exposes:

• SelectedSite
• SelectedCategory

which will be set when you are inside of a site or category

Both have a Name you can bind to in xaml and for the Site you can display an icon with a converter - should already be in your xaml. The Category directly exposes a Thumb to bind to.

What I find a bit distracting on the eye is the first page (list of sites). If there is no visual cue around all the icons and they are transparent, so each one shaped differently, then it's hard to see a line or distinction. Some kind of border of different background would make it feel more ordered I think.

There is one step in your hierarchy missing in the end, a detail view. It's only available on few sites, best examples are IMDB and iTunes trailers.

The most important thing I'm missing now is a "watched, partially watched, unwatched" indicator in series view. I'm loosing track about series which has unwatched episodes.

At first the MIA rework needs to be completed and implemented. Currently there is only a series and episode view. The season view needs to come in between.
And a DEV must make the watched episodes countable for xaml within saeson and series view. I already have the tags and symbols for "partly watched" ready, just waiting for the code updates

I do not have the sites IMDB and iTunesTrailers in my OV. I checked all other sites, they have no details, so I can not adjust the design currently.
Are some sites depending on the location? I live in a country with a government that is blocking hundreds of pages ...
