I am running 1.0.0.0 Final with Blue3Wide skin and with Mediaportal's built-in TV module. The problems are these:

** Watching live TV with With Timeshifting turned OFF **

- When the Guide is accessed there is no TV preview screen down in the bottom-left corner (audio is ok, just no picture)
- When in full-screen TV mode, accessing 'Recorded TV' via the button on MCE remote has no effect (i.e. it just stays on full-screen TV and the button press is ignored).
- When in the 'My TV' screen, accessing 'Recorded TV' via the button on MCE remote DOES open up the list of recorded programs BUT the live TV preview window does not move down to the bottom-left corner of the screen (instead it sits on top of the list of recordings).

** Watching live TV with Timeshifting turned ON **

Everything is ok, none of the above problems exist.

I know these are Blue3 problems because everything worked fine with Blue2 skin. Are new releases of Mediaportal and new skins etc. still being fully tested with the built-in TV module or is it assumed that most people will be using the TV Server?

Log files attached - please help as i am seriously impressed with Mediaportal at the moment and especially the Blue3 skin, but these niggly problems above are spoiling it slightly!

BTW - deleting the skin cache folder doesn't help. I installed MP from scratch anyway, having deleted all traces of the previous installation.

Am i the only one with this problem??? Surely not! I would really appreciate at least one reply..... i had already posted this problem in two separate threads last week but closed them down when i (mistakenly) believed it had something to do with the EPG not fully populated. I didn't get a single reply then either - have i offended team-mediaportal in some way.....? ;-(

    Hi,

Will have a look on it. The inbuild tv engine TV2 is not realy populär anymore. So there is no more progress in work
for this engine. So i have do no test with that. It seems so, that the old engine will be complete delete from the build in next version. So best thing will be, to use the new one, TV3.

    Greetings Harley

Thanks Harley, i think you've answered my question - the built-in TV engine isn't supported any more. This would explain some other bugs that have appeared in it. I will re-install MP and use the TV server from now on.
I actually liked some of the features of the old TV engine, like the genre colouring in the EPG. Nevermind! Happy new year to you.
