    Re: Bluray Handler 0.9.3 (BETA)

    Hi guys.

If I want to install this plugin and playback the Bluray file structures (and ISO's) that I have indexed using MediaPortal, what must I do?

    Read armandp's first post

What makes you think I havent done that? The first post of the thread does not answer my questions.

Well, you asked what you needed to do to playback your Bluray files & ISO's, so i assumed you didn't read the first post, because that explains everything you need to do. ;) Might have been a bad assumption then, my bad.

But like the first post says, you need to use the MPC splitter, put de .dll in the plugin/proces folder, check that the plugin is enabled, and you're done.

Also without this plugin you should (already) be able to play Bluray (ISO) files. The plugin helps with Seamless Branching discs so that the entire movie (correct playlist) is selected instead of a single stream.

also MePo could not "start" anything...
i tried to use the "fox" (not sure if the name is allowed - anyDVD-HD)

You need a UDF driver for WinXP to be able to read a Blu-ray disc file system.

    Bluray Handler
    Current version: 0.9.3.18 (BETA)
    ...
    Requirements

If you can already playback m2ts files then you only need to make sure you have a recent version of "MPC - Mpeg Source (Gabest)" (mpegsplitter.ax) registered on your system. The filter will enable playback of .mpls files and is part of the MPC-HC Standalone Filter package. You need at least build .1287 (=1.3.1287) but a more recent revision is recommended. You can grab the latest builds from here. Yet another alternative to manually setting up the codecs is to install SAF 5.0 (experimental)

note: The latest stable package on the MPC-HC files page is 1.3.1249 - this version will not work.

note: Playback of protected discs is only possible when you have a 3rd party tool like AnyDVD HD running in the background to remove the protection.

    Installation

Unzip the archive and copy the DLL into the "Mediaportal/plugins/proces" folder.
Make sure the plugin is enabled in your configuration (default should be enabled)

    Usage

Because this plugin is currently in beta i would love to have some users test a range of bluray media for me. You can test it by adding ".bdmv" as an extension in mediaportal. From within the My Videos you can now browse to your bluray disk and select the "index.bdmv" to playback the disc. Inserting a bluray disc will trigger autoplay when you have this setup for DVD. The "Play Disc" button will also function for bluray now.
    ...

    Hi,
    I can't play Blu-Ray discs. :(
My system can play .m2ts files without problems.
I copied the dll file in the process folder and the plug-in is enabled.
If I want to play the disc by starting index.bdmv a message will be shown: "Can't play index.bdmv".
I use shark007s Win7Codecs. I changed the mpegsplitter.ax in the Win7Codec directory with the downloaded newest version.
    But nothing where changed.

    What can I do?

    Regards

    öhm an UDF driver?
google said - an UDF driver "transform" the optical drive into a kind-of-HDD ...
i thought if i use a programm like anyDVD-HD it would be ok and enought.

i also have nero (an old version 6.9.x.x) on my PC
    - isn't there an UDF driver included?

    thx for helping

after a restart - it works ... but only with MPC ... not under MePo :-(

can look into the folders and so -
but it does not start the movie (tried to start the index.bdmv)

if i use the DVD-Button ... MePo says: please insert disc :-(

    EDIT :

and also i deactivated the autoplay-function
a window opens - showing the sub-folders could-that be anyDVD?

and this windows sucks :-( couse it "disturbs" the MePo surface ...
i deactivate autoplay function in the regestry ... but the window still come up
after i put in the BR

    EDIT 2:

    forget the "window" problem" :)

but still can't play BR out of MePo ...
    only with the MPC...

    just for information ...
the HTPC with BluRay drive runs with MePo 1.0.2 (not the actuel RC version)
    could that be the problem?

That seem the same as my problem (see thread #157).

    Anyone an idea?
