It would be nice to have the ability both local card and another "virtual card" comming from a server.
this configuration can be done in the setup menu, where we will have the ability to add a server in the card menus, and you can test the connection.
so you won't need to connect the first time using the tv server.

what do you think ?

It would be possible to install a server on the local machine and give the other server a slave server function.

It would be good if the Client plugin could sit alongside the myTV plugin so that the user would have the option of using the HTPC in the current way, or as a client to the server just by selecting the appropriate choice from the menu (eg myTV or myTVclient)

I have thought about this option too, bot only as a temporary measurement because channel switching is very slow for me when using the TV-server. The best solution would be just to use all TV-cards in the server as this would be the most flexible.

The only advantage I would see in this configuration that you do not have to have the server running all the time when watching TV (but where do you have a server for anyway)?

that does not work (or lets say, the amount of extra work to do that is not worth the time).

the tv-server will replace the current tv-engine as soon as it is final.
