Hi Guys,

Just installed Media Portal today and doing first time setup.

I got stuck for hours trying to bypass this problem. All I wanted to do was set the Recording folder.

(Where is this setting stored anyway??? looked in files, registry, DB - nowhere to be found).

I think that you will find this is a bug. The trick is that most people select their card first and then click browse. I didn't because my card was the first in the list.

To reproduce:
Open TV-Server Configuration > Recording Settings > Recording Folders tab
DO NOT CLICK ON CARD. Click Browse and TV-Server Configuration FREEZES!

Note that after hunting around on google I got the idea to select the card first (even though mine was default) then it worked!

Regards,
Feizex.

    Hi there :)

I just followed your steps and it worked without problem on my Win XP with MP 1.0.2.

Please see guidelines for bug reports in my signature. Maybe it's something specific to your OS or MP version. Forum will need those details in order to assist.

Not sure if there will be logging since the only way out of the app is to kill it.

    Regards,
    Feizex.

    SetupTv.exe file version: 1.0.2.22555; Assembly Version: 1.0.2.42498

Rather attach, you never know. Our devs/testers might just require them.

Can anyone else please test and post results?
