Bug in Mediaportal? (1 Viewer)

Hi, I got a reproducable crash in MP 1.1.3:
When I switch from HD channel to SD MP crashes ALWAYS if:
- I use ffdshow tryouts with DXVA for h.264 AND
- EVR is enabled

If either I use VMR9 as video renderer or any other codec, MP doesn´t crash (but I cannot view HD properly ... stuttering, freezing pictures etc...).

Any idea?

Teste mal dein RAM, Scheint nicht ganz in Ordnung zu sein. Oder ist deine Kiste vielleicht übertaktet?
Und dann melde dich bitte an und fülle deine System- Spezifikationen aus. Damit kann man dir besser helfen.

First test your RAM... seems to be not proper. Maybe you have your PC running at too high frequencies or voltages...

AW: Bug in Mediaportal?

Thanks for your quick reply.
One of the first things I did after reading the errorlog was testing the memory, without finding any error there.
Did it again this morning, Win7 ram testing found no errors....

My HTPC is getting warm, but this crashes apear even at the beginning when the system is still cold. This crash happens always, when I switch from HD channels to SD channels....
I do not overclock the system (why should I?).
My system uses the latest driver, I even tested the beta drivers for ffdshow tryouts.

Ok, one thing, that might be a little bit odd on my system is the fact that I´m running it in Windows 7 testmode. I had to do this to get the unsigned Igor Plug 64bit drivers installed....

So.... has anyone got an idea?

Could this be a ffdshow problem, most people use the Cyberlink codecs for HD TV, try hoborg's SAF6 (pm him for unlock key, internet connection required) and see if the same thing happens.
